1. What is Investment ID Account?

The Investment ID Account offers limited investment product services, e.g. Currency Linked Investment / Structured Investment Product. For details, please refer to Section D of the Investment Products Consolidated Terms and Conditions.

2. What happens to my Investment ID Account upon the Account Closure?

All trading in your Investment ID Account will be suspended, and you will receive a notification upon the Account Closure.

3. What if I want to continue investing with the Bank after the Account Closure?

If you already have a Wealth Management Account (“WMA”), you can invest via the WMA. If you do not have a WMA and would like to open one, you can contact your dedicated Treasures Relationship Manager or visit any of our branches for account opening.

Please note that the opening of WMA is subject to the Bank's review and approval. For customers who have declared themselves as US Persons for FATCA purposes, investment transactions may be subject to limitations in accordance with the Bank's policies which are reviewed from time to time.

[For DBS Account only] If you would like to continue investing with us, you may visit any of our branches to upgrade to DBS Treasures and open a WMA. This can offer you an integrated platform with enhanced features helping you grow your wealth more effectively.

The Monthly Service Fee Threshold for a DBS Treasures account is HK$1,000,000, based on your Average Total Relationship Balance* over 3 consecutive months. If your balance falls below this threshold (or its equivalent), a Monthly Service Fee of HK$300 will apply. This fee will be waived for the first 2 years for those customers who are upgraded from DBS Account to DBS Treasures due to this Account Closure for Investment ID Account. Customers who are existing DBS Treasures customers at the time of this Account Closure for Investment ID Account will not be entitled to this fee waiver.

*Definition – “Average Total Relationship Balance over 3 consecutive months”
It is calculated by taking the total of your daily Total Relationship Balance over any 3 consecutive calendar months, divided by the number of calendar days in that period. Your Total Relationship Balance includes assets held solely or jointly with the Bank, across: HKD, RMB, and Foreign Currency Deposits, Currency Linked Investments, market value of local and overseas Securities, Investment Funds, Bonds, Paper Gold, Structured or Linked Investment Products. Please refer to the Bank Charges Schedule for the latest information.

4. Will there be any impact on my other accounts in the Bank?

No. The Account Closure only applies to Investment ID Account. You can still enjoy other banking services and privileges.
