Required documents for principal credit card application
You need to prepare the required documents, e.g the copy of identity document, address proof and income proof etc. to apply principal credit card.
For principal credit card application, you need to fulfill the requirements as below:
- Meet minimum annual income requirement of each credit card
- Prepare the required application document as follows
- There is no limit on the number of cards you may apply for. For each credit card, you may apply for up to 6 supplementary cards.
Note:
- For applicants who are not holders of HK permanent ID card, please provide copies of HKID card and valid passport/travel document.
Required principal credit card application document:
HK Permanent Identity Card of principal card applicants
Latest home address proof issued within the last 6 months (e.g. electricity bill, rate bill, bank statements, e-statement is acceptable). If you have a permanent home address, please also attach the permanent home address proof
Latest 1 month’s computer generated Payroll Advices; or Latest 1 month’s bank statement/passbook showing your name, account number and salary entries; or Full set of latest Salaries Tax Demand Note.
HK Permanent Identity Card of principal card applicants
Latest home address proof issued within the last 6 months (e.g. electricity bill, rate bill, bank statements, e-statement is acceptable). If you have a permanent home address, please also attach the permanent home address proof
Latest 1 month’s computer generated Payroll Advices (basic salary entries have to be shown on Payroll Advices, otherwise, please provide the latest 3 months’ record.); or Latest 3 month’s bank statement/passbook showing your name, account number and salary entries
HK Permanent Identity Card of principal card applicants
Latest home address proof issued within the last 6 months (e.g. electricity bill, rate bill, bank statements, e-statement is acceptable). If you have a permanent home address, please also attach the permanent home address proof
Business Registration Certificate and Full set of latest Profits Tax Demand Note and Latest 3 months’ bank statement/passbook showing your company name, account number and transaction entries
HK Permanent Identity Card of principal card applicants
Latest home address proof issued within the last 6 months (e.g. electricity bill, rate bill, bank statements, e-statement is acceptable). If you have a permanent home address, please also attach the permanent home address proof
Latest Fixed Deposit Advice or Investment Statement issued by bank
Note:
For applicants who are students of tertiary institutes, please provide copies of student ID card issued by the relevant tertiary institutes.
- "Funds Transfer" Programme / "Call-a-loan" Service
Photocopy of the bank statement (except online statement) or first page of passbook of HKD current / savings account showing the bank name, your name and account number to which the transfer amount of the "Funds Transfer" Programme/loan amount of the "Call-a-loan" Service is transferred (joint account will not be accepted)
