Essential Guide for Mainland Chinese Customers in Hong Kong

1. For Hong Kong permanent resident
• New DBS customer or existing DBS credit card customers; and
• Aged 18 or above; and
• Not a US resident, US citizen or holding a US Permanent Resident Card (Green Card)


2. For The People's Republic of China (PRC) resident
• New DBS customer or existing DBS credit card customers; and
• Aged 18 or above; and
• Physically located in Hong Kong during the account opening process
• Not a US resident, US citizen or holding a US Permanent Resident Card (Green Card)

Total Relationship Balance is the total assets that a customer maintains with the Bank, whether solely or jointly. The assets include Hong Kong dollar, Renminbi and foreign currency deposits including time deposits, Currency Linked Investment, market value of local and overseas securities, investment funds, bonds, paper gold and other linked or structured investment products.

1. For Hong Kong permanent resident
   • HK ID card


2. For The People's Republic of China (PRC) resident
   • Exit-Entry Permit for Travelling to and from Hong Kong and Macao
   • The PRC Resident Identity Card
   • Valid Exit-Entry Report from the National Immigration Administration

A monthly service fee of HK$200 will be charged if the "Average Total Relationship Balance over 3 consecutive months" falls below HK$200,000 (or its equivalent in foreign currency(ies)).

This is subject to the fee schedule.

"Average Total Relationship Balance over 3 consecutive months" is calculated based on the aggregated value of daily Total Relationship Balance in the period of consecutive 3 months divided by the total number of calendar days in that 3 months.
