  • I am currently an ANZ Private Bank client. What will happen to me?

    We are pleased to extend a warm welcome to you as a DBS Private Bank client. If you are already our DBS Private Bank client, you will remain so, regardless of your customer segment at ANZ. Your investment holdings and cash balances will be transferred to DBS.

  • What will happen to all my ANZ product holdings?

    All your product holdings will be transferred to DBS from the Effective Time. For more details about these services, please click here. Your existing ANZ products will be mapped to corresponding DBS products with the most similar features and structures. You may refer to the product specific tabs for more information.

  • What will be the arrangement regarding my Relationship Manager?

    Please rest assured that many of you can look forward to having your existing Relationship Manager continue to serve you. DBS will advise you of the details of the arrangements in a Welcome Letter.

  • Should I contact DBS or ANZ before the Transfer?

    As your account will only be transferred to DBS with effect from the Effective Time, please continue to contact your ANZ Relationship Manager for any enquiries prior to the Transfer.

    After the Transfer, DBS fees and charges will apply. For more details, please approach your Relationship Manager for specific information.

  • How do I trade if I am overseas after the Transfer?

    Once your new Wealth Management Account is set up, your dedicated Relationship Manager will be able to assist you with your trade orders over a recorded phone line. Alternatively, you may also trade 24x7 through our all-in-one digital wealth management platform DBS iWealth.

Lombard Loan (Portfolio Finance)
  • I’m an ANZ Private Bank client. What will happen to my existing Portfolio Finance (otherwise known as Lombard Loan)?

    We will transfer your existing Portfolio Finance (Lombard Loan) facility to a DBS Multi-Currency Revolving Term Loan. Your interest rate for the current interest period will remain unchanged. At the next interest period, the interest rate for each advance will be fixed by DBS, at your existing spread over DBS cost of funds.

    Things to note

    Eligible collateral: Fixed income securities, equities, mutual funds, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), structured products (excluding structured deposits), cash and cash-like product (such as paper gold) and any other assets deemed acceptable to the bank.

    Conditions: The Security provided in respect of the facility must be maintained from time to time in such amount as we consider necessary. If the Security provided is no longer sufficient to comply with our margin levels, we may require you and/or any security provider to provide additional (and acceptable) security within a reasonable period.

Overseas Property Financing
  • What will happen to my existing overseas property financing?

    We will transfer your existing overseas property financing facility to DBS Overseas Property Loan. The prevailing ANZ repayment terms will apply until further notice. Interest rates will be based on your existing spread over DBS cost of funds.

    Conditions: The Security provided in respect of the facility must be maintained from time to time in such amount as we consider necessary. If the Security provided is no longer sufficient to comply with our margin levels, we may require you and/or any security provider to furnish additional (and acceptable) security within a reasonable period.

Direct Marketing Consent
  • Why has DBS asked for my consent to use my personal data for direct marketing purposes?

    To ensure that you will receive appropriate updates on market opportunities and customer privileges, DBS requires your consent to use your personal data for direct marketing purposes. This will also enable DBS to continue to contact you for any promotional or marketing activities, such as informing you about products and services that we think may be of interest and value to you.

  • I have already given my consent to ANZ for use of my personal data for direct marketing by ANZ. Why can this not serve as giving my consent to DBS?

    According to Hong Kong regulations, customer consent for use of personal data for direct marketing cannot be transferred between companies. Therefore, DBS must seek your explicit consent to use your personal data for direct marketing by DBS.

  • I am an existing DBS customer and have previously given my consent to DBS for use of my personal data in direct marketing. Do I need to give my consent again?

    You can choose not to provide your consent again. You will be deemed to have given your direct marketing consent to DBS, unless you return the Direct Marketing Consent Form to your Relationship Manager at ANZ with an updated preference.
