FAQs
What is an FX Option?

An FX option, also known as a currency option, is a contract between two parties that gives the buyer the right, but not the obligation, to trade in a certain currency by buying or selling it at a specified exchange rate on or before a fixed date. A FX future is a futures contract where two parties agree to exchange one currency for another at a specified date. The exchange rate is also fixed to the date the purchase is made. Therefore, the investment risk of FX options is completely different from that of foreign exchange futures.

How do I trade FX Options?

When trading in FX options, there are two types of options available — call and put. The call option gives you the right to buy a currency at an agreed price, while the pull option provides you with the ability to sell the currency at a specified price. Once you have determined your FX call and pull options, you have the right to trade by buying and selling these currencies.
