Change Your Password

For security reasons, please change your DBS iBanking password regularly. New password must be made up of 8 to 30 characters with the combination of uppercase letters, lowercase letters and numbers.

Change Security Setting

You can instruct that your Secure Device and/or SMS OTP be required to authenticate all types of transactions or only the following transactions that require a higher level of security:

* Selected merchant categories include Banking and Credit Card Services, Credit Services, Securities Broker, and The Hong Kong Jockey Club.
^ Bill payments to merchants in the selected merchant categories cannot be conducted via DBS digibank even they are included in “My Payee List” of DBS iBanking.

We will send you an SMS notification when you place a securities trading order via DBS iBanking or DBS digibank.

Note:
Using two factor authentication (2FA) (i.e. SMS OTP and/or the Secure Device) for all transactions would further reduce the risk of unauthorized transaction. If you opt for using 2FA only for transactions that require a higher level of security, you may be exposed to higher risk of unauthorized access.

Manage Transaction Limit

To view and change your DBS iBanking daily limit, select "Manage Transaction Limit" under "Preferences".

To increase a daily limit, you are required to use your SMS OTP and Secure Device to authenticate the transaction. The instruction will become effective immediately. Or you can download and complete the DBS iBanking Service Request Form and return the completed form to any DBS branch or send it back to us by mail. The new limit will normally take effect within 4 business days upon receipt of the duly completed form.

DBS iBanking and DBS digibank share the same daily limit.

For your security, please avoid setting the daily limits at a level much higher than you usually need.

If you have not transferred funds to non-registered third party accounts for 12 months, the corresponding daily limit will be reset to HK$0.

Update Personal Details

You can update your personal details under "Preferences" > "Update Personal Details". Your Secure Device and SMS OTP will be required to authenticate the transaction.

Notes:

  1. If you do not have secure device, you can request one under “Request” > “New Secure Device”. Please click here for more information.
  2. It is your responsibility to update your personal details with the Bank promptly, whenever they change.
  3. Your personal data will be used in accordance with our Data Policy.
  4. For customers of a Secured Line of Credit, the correspondence addresses of their current and time deposit accounts must be the SAME.
  5. For securities accounts, customers are only required to change the correspondence address for the linked deposit account.
  6. A P. O. Box will not be accepted as the correspondence address for any investment account.
  7. A P. O. Box or any address outside of Hong Kong will not be accepted as the correspondence address for any credit card or loan account.
  8. In compliance with the securities dealing restrictions in the USA, no address in the USA will be accepted as the correspondence address for securities accounts and investment fund accounts.
  9. For insurance and MPF accounts, please visit any of our branches to update personal details.
  10. For any mortgage loan account with co-borrowers, the signatures of ALL borrowers are needed. Please visit any of our branches to update personal details.
  11. If the delivery of any email notifications to your registered email address fails, we will notify you by SMS/letter. You may log in to DBS iBanking to update your registered email address.
  12. Your email update will apply to the email of for receiving eStatement / eAdvice / Securities Order Confirmation notification (if applicable).
  13. The changes apply to ALL sole / joint name “either-to-sign” account(s) (including but not limited to deposit, loan, investment accounts, credit card and safe deposit box).
  14. Consolidated monthly statement covers all sole/ joint name deposit / securities / investment / wealth management accounts (linked accounts), provided that the same correspondence address is registered for all the accounts. If the correspondence address of any linked account is changed to an address different from that of the remaining linked accounts, that account will be excluded from your consolidated statement and be served with individual monthly statements separately.

Personalize My Account Nickname

To amend the nickname of your account, simply select the account and enter a new nickname at "Preference" > "Personalize My Account Nickname".

Manage Registered Payee for Funds Transfer

Simply click on "Manage Registered Payee for Funds Transfer" to set up your own payee list, so that you can avoid the hassle of re-entering the same payee details every time for your funds transfer.

  • Click on "Add New Payee" to input new payee details. You are required to use your SMS OTP and Secure Device to authenticate the transaction.
  • Click on "Transfer" next to the selected payee to make an instant or scheduled funds transfer.
  • Click on "Amend" or "Delete" to amend payee details or delete the payee from the list.
  • DBS iBanking and DBS digibank share the same payee list.

My Alert Summary

The summary displays the alerts you have subscribed to, including:

  • DBS iBanking Alerts - Funds Transfers to My DBS Account and Bill Payment
  • Financial Management Alerts - Current Account Overdrawn

To manage your alerts, go to "Preferences" > "Manage My Alerts".

If the delivery of any email notifications to your registered email address fails, we will notify you by SMS/letter. You may log in to DBS iBanking to update your registered email address.

Subscribe to an Alert

A wide range of alerts are available for you to choose from.
To subscribe to any particular type of alert, click on "Subscribe" and follow the instructions.

Change Alert Settings

To manage your alerts, go to "Preferences" > "Manage My Alerts".

To change the settings of an alert, click on the "Amend" link corresponding to that particular alert and follow the instructions.

Unsubscribe from an Alert

To stop receiving a particular alert, click on the "Unsubscribe" link corresponding to that particular alert and follow the instructions.

Authorise a Transaction with an OTP

A One Time Password (OTP) is required for subscribing to, amending or cancelling some alerts.
Check the details carefully and enter the last 6 digits of the OTP to authorise the instruction.

Update My Alerts Contact

If the delivery of any email notifications to your registered email address fails, we will notify you by SMS/letter. You may log in to DBS iBanking to update your registered email address.

You can update your email address for receiving alerts.

Securities Order Confirmation

Using the Service for the First Time

To receive instant notification of your securities order status by SMS or e-mail, click on "Subscribe Now" to subscribe to the Securities Order Confirmation service.
* You must hold a phone banking services account.

Summary

The summary shows the latest settings of your Securities Order Confirmation service. You can amend the settings of or unsubscribe from the Securities Order Confirmation service.

Subscribe to Securities Order Confirmation

You can choose to receive your alerts by e-mail or SMS at your designated e-mail address or mobile phone number.

You can choose to receive SMS alerts in English or Chinese. E-mail alerts will be sent in both English and Chinese.

  1. An OTP is required to change your mobile phone number or email address.
  2. Your mobile phone number update will apply to the mobile number of receiving DBS iBanking One-Time Password.
  3. Your email update will apply to the email of for receiving eStatement / eAdvice notification (if applicable).

Change Securities Order Confirmation Settings

To change the settings of the Securities Order Confirmation service, click on "Amend Securities Order Confirmation" and follow the instructions.

  1. An OTP is required to change your mobile phone number or email address.
  2. Your mobile phone number update will apply to the mobile number of receiving DBS iBanking One-Time Password.
  3. Your email update will apply to the email of for receiving eStatement / eAdvice notification (if applicable).

Unsubscribe from Securities Order Confirmation

To stop using the Securities Order Confirmation service, click on "Unsubscribe from Securities Order Confirmation" and follow the instructions.

Authorise a Transaction with an OTP

An OTP is required if you wish to change your e-mail address or mobile phone number during the subscription or amendment of the Securities Order Confirmation service.

Check the details carefully and enter the last 6 digits of the OTP to authorise the instruction.

Overseas ATM Transaction Setting

To view and change your Overseas ATM Transaction Limit, under "Preferences", select "Manage Overseas ATM Transaction Settings". For improved security, the overseas ATM transaction function (including cash withdrawal and cash advance) for all ATM cards and credit cards are pre-set as "deactivated". If you wish to use ATM services overseas, please activate the function in advance by setting the service start date / end date and the withdrawal limit.

Messages

You can view messages sent to you by DBS Bank, including information about your iBanking transactions or instruction status, or announcements about iBanking services. You can choose to view or delete messages in "Messages" anytime.
