“Taobao & Tmall 3% COMPASS Dollar rebate” Promotion Terms and Conditions:

 

  1. “Taobao & Tmall 3% COMPASS Dollar rebate” Promotion (“Promotion”) is only applicable to the Principal Cardholders (“Cardholders”) of DBS COMPASS VISA (“Applicable Credit Card”) issued by DBS Bank (Hong Kong) Limited (the “Bank”, which expression shall include its successors and assigns).
  2. The promotion period is from 1 January 2018 to 31 December 2018, both dates inclusive (“Promotion Period”).
  3. To be eligible for the Promotion, Cardholders are required to register the Promotion successfully between 9:00am (HK Time) on 1 January 2018 and 11:59pm (HK Time) on 31 December 2018 (according to the Bank’s website record) (“Registration Period”) via webpage https://cards.dbs.com.hk or DBS Omni mobile application following below steps:
    1. Register DBS Omni membership (for those Cardholders who are already with DBS Omni membership may skip step i and go to step ii directly);
    2. Register the Promotion with his/her Applicable Credit Cards. Cardholders have to read and confirm the acceptance of the Promotion’s terms and conditions and input the required information according to the instructions. Cardholders will be given confirmation email with reference number upon successful registration for record and enquiry purposes. Each Applicable Credit Card is only required to register once.
  4. Cardholder who registered “Taobao & Tmall 3% COMPASS Dollar rebate” Promotion successfully on or before 31 December 2017 with Applicable Credit Card will be auto enrolled to this Promotion from January 2018. Cardholders who have failed to register for the Promotion within the Registration Period or have provided incorrect information shall not be eligible for the Promotion. All information provided for registration cannot be cancelled or amended upon successful registration.
  5. Starting from the successful registration month, Cardholders who complete eligible spending (“Eligible Spending”, as defined in clause 6 below) at Taobao (taobao.com), Tmall (tmall.com / tmall.hk) and/or their respective mobile applications (“Platforms”) during Promotion Period will be entitled to 3% COMPASS Dollar Rebate (“Reward”) which include the basic 0.4% COMPASS Dollar rebate earned under COMPASS Card Reward Scheme (“Basic Reward”), and extra 2.6% COMPASS Dollar rebate (“Extra Reward”).
  6. For the purpose of the Promotion, “Eligible Spending” means any posted specified online retail transactions on designated Platforms, and / or with settlement via Alipay with Applicable Credit Card. For the avoidance of doubt, the following types of transactions shall not be considered as Eligible Spending: any bill payments, any transactions that are subject to cancellation, charge-back, return of goods and/or refund, purchase and/or reload of stored value cards or e-wallets or any other categories of transactions as the Bank may specify from time to time. All Eligible Spending counted is based on the transaction date that conducted during Promotion Period.
  7. Only the first HK$1,000 Eligible Spending per Applicable Credit Card account in each calendar month during Promotion Period is entitled to the Extra Reward.
  8. Basic Reward will be credited to Applicable Credit Card account automatically after the transaction(s) is/are posted and be shown in monthly statement. Extra Reward will be credited to Applicable Credit Card account within 3 months after each calendar month and will be shown in monthly statement.
  9. If there is a supplementary card under the Applicable Credit Card account, Eligible Transactions conducted under the supplementary card will be deemed as Eligible Transactions conducted under the Principal card account.
  10. Unless otherwise specified, the Promotion cannot be used in conjunction with other promotional offers or discounts, coupons or membership offers. Reward cannot be transferred and exchanged for cash, credit limit as well as other goods or services.
  11. The Reward entitled by Cardholders under the Promotion shall be determined by the Bank at its sole discretion based on the Bank’s record. If there is any discrepancy between the record held by Cardholders and that held by the Bank, the Bank’s record shall be conclusive and binding on the Cardholders.
  12. Cardholders must retain the original transaction slips of any transactions. In case of any disputes, the Bank reserves the right to require Cardholders to submit the relevant original transaction slips, other documents or evidence for verification. The submitted transaction slips, documents and/or evidence will not be returned. If there is any discrepancy between the Bank’s record and Cardholder’s record of any transaction, the Bank’s record shall prevail.
  13. Participation in the Promotion is subject to there being no abuse/non compliance by the Cardholder, failing which the Bank will debit the values of the Discount or Reward from the Cardholder’s account without notice and/or take such action to recover any outstanding amounts.
  14. The Promotion is only applicable to Cardholders whose Applicable Credit Card accounts are determined at the sole discretion of the Bank to be in good standing and remain valid and not in default during the Promotion Period and when the Reward is credited to the Applicable Credit Card account.
  15. Sellers on the Platforms and the parcel forwarders are responsible for selling and after sales services. The Bank and the Platforms are not involved in such selling and after sale services and will not be held responsible for any product quality issues, fitness for purposes, product suitability issues, or sales practices relating to products purchased by the Customers, or for any failure of parcel forwarder(s) to deliver the parcel forwarding services.
  16. A person who is not a party to these Terms and Conditions may not enforce any of their terms under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Ordinance (Cap 623 of the Laws of Hong Kong).
  17. The Bank and the related Merchants may change these terms and conditions and/or modify or terminate the Promotion. The Bank’s and the related Merchants’ decision are final.
  18. The English version shall prevail if there is any inconsistency between the English and Chinese versions.
