a. Upgrade to a new iPhone and use the “Guaranteed Buy-back Value” to offset the remaining unpaid monthly instalments.
b. Keep the iPhone by continue paying the remaining monthly instalments until the end.

What are the benefits of joining iPhone for Life?

iPhone for Life provides Cardholders an alternative way to purchase iPhone using an unique interest free credit card instalment. Cardholder can enjoy a lower monthly instalment payment for the first 24 months when compared to the regular 24-month instalment plan and will have the flexibility to upgrade their iPhone after 24 months.
Also, the mobile service provider will provide a “Guaranteed Buy-back Value” of the iPhone after 24 months of participating in the plan, which can be used to offset the remaining unpaid monthly instalments, protecting Cardholders from any risk of depreciation or market value decline.

No, you have to upgrade at the mobile service provider where you bought your current iPhone.

Can I choose not to upgrade my iPhone?

You can, just keep the iPhone and continue to pay the remaining monthly instalments until the end. The number of monthly instalments need to be paid will depend on which mobile service provider you purchase the iPhone from, the mobile service provider will inform you the number of instalments required when you make the purchase. Where can I go to upgrade my iPhone and enjoy the “Guarantee Buy-back Value”?

You will only be able to upgrade your iPhone at the respective mobile service providers which you purchased the current iPhone.

After 24 months what if I don’t want to upgrade to a new iPhone nor keep my existing iPhone?

You can choose to exit the plan simply by returning your iPhone to the mobile service provider which you made the purchase. Depending on the conditions of your iPhone, if the mobile service provider buy-back your iPhone at the maximum “Guarantee Buy-back Value”, you can exit the plan without any charges. Otherwise, you need to pay DBS the difference between the buy-back value and the remaining monthly instalments. Please contact respective mobile service providers for return terms and conditions.

What if I want to upgrade my iPhone before the 24th month?

iPhone for Life upgrade option is available after the 24th month, if you would like to upgrade early, please contact the respective mobile service providers to check whether it is possible.

What if my iPhone is damaged to the point that it does not meet the mobile service provider’s device acceptance standard?

You have to contact the mobile service provider where you purchased the iPhone for their assessment. If your iPhone is unfortunately considered not eligible for buy-back by the mobile service provider, you will be responsible for the remaining unpaid monthly instalments.
