General Terms and Conditions:

  1. The promotion (the “Promotion") runs from 1 December 2019 to 31 December 2019 (“Promotion Period”).
  2. The Promotion is only applicable to customers applying through DBS Bank (Hong Kong) Limited 星展銀行(香港)有限公司 (the “Bank”) (“Customers”).
  3. The insurance plans referred to herein are underwritten by Chubb Insurance Hong Kong Limited (“Chubb”). Chubb reserves the right of final approval to the insurance plan application. For the coverage and other details of the insurance plans, please refer to the relevant product materials and policy provisions.
  4. All discounts and rewards are non-exchangeable and non-refundable. The Bank can replace the rewards with alternative rewards without prior notice.
  5. The Bank and Chubb are not the suppliers of the gifts (as set out in clauses 17 to 20, collectively the “Gifts”). The use of the Gifts is subject to terms and conditions imposed by the relevant suppliers whilst the redemption of the Gifts is subject to the terms and conditions imposed by Chubb. Any enquiry or complaint regarding the Gifts or the goods/ services redeemed should be directed to the suppliers. The Bank and Chubb shall assume no responsibility/ liability in respect thereof.
  6. All Gifts information, prices, and photos shown are for reference only. The suppliers’ information shall prevail.
  7. If Customers have cancelled the relevant insurance application and/or policies, the Gifts will be forfeited without notice or the value of Gifts will be deducted from the refund premium.
  8. Customers cannot enjoy the Promotion together with any other offer.
  9. Participation in the Promotion is subject to there being no abuse/non-compliance by the Customer failing which the Bank will not credit the reward or where the reward has been credited, the Bank may debit the equivalent value of the reward given from the Customer’s account without notice and/or take such action to recover any outstanding amounts.
  10. The Bank may change these terms and conditions and/or modify/terminate the Promotion without notice. The Bank’s decision is final.
  11. The English version shall prevail if there is any inconsistency between the English and Chinese versions.
  12. The Bank is an insurance agent authorised by Chubb. The Bank will receive commissions and incentives from Chubb as remuneration for marketing Chubb's products.
  13. Chubb has the sole discretion in determining Customers’ eligibility to the Promotion.
  14. DBS Chubb Insurance Service Hotline (Tel: 3191 6618) is a dedicated Insurance Customer Services Hotline for the Customers.

  16. Premium Discount Offer
    Customers who successfully apply for any of the following insurance products (“General Insurance Plans”) through the Bank’s website, DBS Omni app or DBS Chubb Insurance Service Hotline at 3191 6618 during the Promotion Period shall be eligible for a discount on the relevant premium payable:
    1. TravellerShield Single Trip Travel Insurance – 45% discount on the premium;
    2. TravellerShield Annual Travel Insurance – 40% discount on the first-year premium;
    3. HomeShield Insurance – 25% discount on the first-year premium;
    4. LandlordShield Insurance – 25% discount on the first-year premium;
    5. MasterShield Illness Protection – 25% discount on the first-year premium;
    6. JuniorShield Child Illness Protection – 25% discount on the first-year premium;

    Customers who successfully apply for MobileShield Protection through the Bank’s website or DBS Omni app with promotional code “mobile10” during the Promotion Period shall be eligible for a discount on the relevant premium payable:
    1. Monthly payment – 10% discount on the first-year premium;
    2. Annual payment – 10% discount on the first-year premium;
  18. Gifts for MobileShield Protection
    Customers who successfully apply for MobileShield Protection with annual payment of premium through the Bank’s website or DBS Omni app during the Promotion Period shall be eligible for the gift below:
    1. HK$200 supermarket coupon
      1. Four supermarket coupons of HK$50 each will be given per policy.
      2. The redemption letter for redeeming the supermarket coupons will be sent to the eligible Customer’s email address (as provided in the online application) on or before 29 February 2020.
      3. This offer cannot be used in conjunction with DBS staff promotion.
  19. Gifts for TravellerShield Single Trip Travel Insurance (Gold Plan)
    Customers who successfully apply for TravellerShield Single Trip Travel Insurance (Gold Plan) through the Bank’s website or DBS Omni app during the Promotion Period and meet the below criteria shall be eligible for the respective Gifts below:
    1. HK$100 supermarket coupon for policy with two or three insured persons with chosen destination as Japan
      1. Two supermarket coupons of HK$50 each will be given per policy.
      2. The redemption letter for redeeming the supermarket coupons will be sent to the eligible Customer’s email address (as provided in the online application) on or before 29 February 2020.

    2. HK$200 supermarket coupon for policy with four or more insured persons per policy with chosen destination as Japan

  20. Gifts for TravellerShield Annual Travel Insurance (Gold Plan)
    Customers who successfully apply for the TravellerShield Annual Travel Insurance (Gold Plan) through the Bank’s website or DBS Omni app during the Promotion Period shall be eligible for the respective Gifts below:
    1. HK$500 supermarket coupon for subscribing to TravellerShield Annual Travel Insurance Plan (Gold Plan)
      1. Ten supermarket coupons of HK$50 each will be given per policy.
      2. The redemption letter for redeeming the supermarket coupons will be sent to the eligible Customer’s email address (as provided in the online application) on or before 29 February 2020.
      3. This offer cannot be used in conjunction with DBS staff promotion.
  21. Gifts for PassengerOne
    1. Customers who successfully apply for PassengerOne through the Bank’s website or DBS Omni app during the Promotion Period shall be eligible for the “XAB Taxi” points worth HK$50.
    2. The notification email of “XAB Taxi” points will be sent to the eligible Customer’s email address (as provided in the online application) on or before 31 March 2020. For further details of the usage of the “XAB Taxi” point, please refer to the relevant terms and conditions mentioned in the notification email.
    3. This offer cannot be used in conjunction with DBS staff promotion.
  22. Extra Discount for DBS Omni App (“Omni Offer”):
    1. The Omni Offer is only applicable to cardholders of DBS Credit Card (“Cardholders”) who successfully subscribe for any General Insurance Plans (including StudyShield Insurance) (the “Transaction”) with each policy net premium reaching:
      1. HK$300 to HK$999, in which case each policy will be eligible for an extra HK$25 discount (1,000 quotas available on a first come first serve basis);
      2. HK$1,000 or above, in which case each policy will be eligible for an extra HK$100 discount (100 quotas available on a first come first serve basis);
      3. (collectively “Reward”) by clicking the red "InstaRedeem" function of the DBS Omni app after the Transaction has been processed.
    2. Cardholders are required to download and register for the DBS Omni app, and to turn on notification of "InstaRedeem" in DBS Omni > Setting > Push Notification before making the Transaction. Cardholders must complete their Reward redemption by 31 January 2020, otherwise the Reward will be forfeited without further notice.
    3. The Reward cannot be transferred, or exchanged for cash, credit limit or other discount, good or service.
    4. Eligibility of any Transaction for the purpose of the Reward shall be determined based on its transaction date and time in the Bank's record. If there is any discrepancy between the Bank's record and Cardholders' transaction slip, the Bank's record shall be final and conclusive.
