  1. PayFast service is supported by Faster Payment System which is provided and operated by Hong Kong Interbank Clearing Limited.
    Use of PayFast or related bank services supported by Faster Payment System are subject to terms and conditions. Please refer to the terms and conditions relating to Faster Payment System under the Bank Account and Services Terms and Conditions.
  2. Visit DBS iBanking to customise your daily transfer limit up to HKD 10,000 which is shared between PayFast and Scan & Pay.
  3. If the remaining daily transfer limit for PayFast and Scan & Pay is insufficient, we will debit the whole transaction amount from your daily transfer limit for “non-registered payee” to complete the Scan & Pay transfer and it requires authentication with your Digital Token or Secure Device.
  4. The exact timing of crediting funds to recipient's account will be subject to the operation of recipient bank.

The list of participating merchants that accept QR payments from DBS Scan & Pay (supported by "Faster Payment System") as displayed above will be subject to change from time to time. Merchants may decide at their discretion on whether or not to accept QR payment services for Faster Payment System without prior notice to Customers. Thereafter, customers shall refer to the merchants displaying Faster Payment System logo to check for services availability.

Notes:

  • Please ensure the recipient and transfer details are correct before you submit the transaction. Once you have submitted the transaction, it cannot be cancelled. If a wrong transaction has been submitted, please download the mis-transferred fund recall request form here and return the completed form to our branches or call (852) 2290 8888 for assistance.
  • If you have received funds that are mis-transferred to you, you should immediately contact us at (852) 2290 8888 to arrange the return of funds. You may have criminal liability if you do not return the mis-transferred funds.
  • If you have not performed any PayFast/Scan & Pay transactions within the last 12 months via our online or mobile banking services, the PayFast daily limit (shared by PayFast and Scan & Pay) will be reset to HK$0 automatically. For details, please visit go.dbs.com/hk-limit-en.

Scan & Pay is our new mobile payment feature powered by Faster Payment System (FPS)*. Simply use DBS digibank or DBS iWealth® app to scan the FPS QR code provided by a merchant or payee and you can checkout, pay bills or transfer funds faster.

* Scan & Pay service is supported by Faster Payment System which is provided and operated by Hong Kong Interbank Clearing Limited.


You can use it to make purchases right at the merchants who accept FPS QR code for payment, or to pay utility or merchant bills with the FPS QR code printed on the bill statements, or to transfer funds to payees with the FPS QR code provided by them.

Generally, there should be a FPS logo within/beside the QR code supporting the FPS service. If you are not sure whether the QR code supports FPS service, please check with the payee/merchant.


Simply activate the transfer limit , then you can start using it by tapping on the "Scan and Pay" button on the homepage of DBS digibank or DBS iWealth® app. For details, please visit

A daily limit up to HK$10,000 is shared between PayFast and Scan & Pay. You can set your preferred limit within HK$10,000 via DBS iBanking. If the payment amount exceeds your remaining daily transfer limit for Scan & Pay, we will debit the whole transaction amount from your daily transfer limit for “non-registered payee” to complete the Scan & Pay transfer, and it requires authentication with your Digital Token or Secure Device.

How to set up transfer limit via DBS iBanking?


Please check with the merchant/payee who provided the FPS QR code if the QR code supports the FPS service.


Scan & Pay transactions are authenticated with your login credentials at DBS digibank, DBS iWealth® app or biometric information. Upon completion of the transaction, you will also receive confirmation via SMS and email.
