“HK Express Free Baggage Upgrade Offer” Terms and Conditions:

  1. “HK Express Free Baggage Upgrade Offer” (“Promotion”) is only applicable to the Principal Cardholders (“Cardholders”) of DBS COMPASS VISA (“Applicable Credit Card”) issued by DBS Bank (Hong Kong) Limited (the “Bank”).
  2. The promotion period is from 1 January 2020 to 31 December 2020, both dates inclusive (“Promotion Period”).
  3. To be eligible for the Promotion, Cardholders are required to register the Promotion successfully in each calendar month between 9:00am (HK Time) on first day of the calendar month in 2020 and 11:59pm (HK Time) on last day of same calendar month in 2020 (according to the Bank’s website record) (“Registration Period”). All registration record will be reset at 12:00am (HK time) on first day of each calendar month. Registration can be done via webpage https://cards.dbs.com.hk or DBS Omni mobile application following below steps:
    1. Register DBS Omni membership (for those Cardholders who are already with DBS Omni membership may skip step i and go to step ii directly);
    2. Register the Promotion with his/her Applicable Credit Cards. Cardholders have to read and confirm the acceptance of the Promotion’s terms and conditions and input the required information according to the instructions. Cardholders will be given confirmation email with reference number upon successful registration for record and enquiry purposes. Each Applicable Credit Card is only required to register once during the Registration Period of each calendar month.
  4. Cardholders who have failed to register for the Promotion within the Registration Period of each calendar month or have provided incorrect information shall not be eligible for the Promotion. All information provided for registration cannot be cancelled or amended upon successful registration.
  5. Cardholders who complete a single transaction of HK$2,000 or above (“Eligible Transactions”, as defined in clause 7 below) at HK Express (“Merchant”) website (www.hkexpress.com) and/or its respective mobile applications in any calendar month with successful registration in the same month during Promotion Period will be entitled to $120 COMPASS Dollar Rebate (“Reward”) in that calendar month. Cardholders must successfully register the Promotion during the Registration Period of each calendar month in order to entitle the Reward of that calendar month.
  6. Each Applicable Credit Card can enjoy a maximum of $120 COMPASS Dollar Rebate, equivalent to the price difference for 20kg and 30kg Checked Baggage upon initial booking via hkexpress.com once as announced in December 2019, per calendar month during the Promotion Period, by using the conversion rate of HK$1 to HK$1 COMPASS Dollar. COMPASS Dollar Rebate will be adjusted according to the latest baggage fee announced by Merchant as per effective month without notice.
  7. For the purpose of the Promotion, “Eligible Transactions” means any posted retail transactions completed at designated Merchant’s platform. For the avoidance of doubt, the following types of transactions shall not be regarded as Eligible Transactions : any bill payments, any transactions that are subject to cancellation, charge-back, return of goods and/or refund, purchase and/or reload of stored value cards or e-wallets (including but not limited to PayMe, WeChat Pay and Alipay) or any other categories of transactions as the Bank may specify from time to time. All Eligible Spending counted is based on the transaction date and has to be conducted during Promotion Period.
  8. Reward will be credited to Cardholder’s Applicable Credit Card account within 3 months after the calendar month that Eligible Spending conducted and will be shown in monthly statement.
  9. If there is a supplementary card under the Applicable Credit Card account, Eligible Spending conducted under the supplementary card will be deemed as Eligible Spending conducted under the principal card account.
  10. Unless otherwise specified, the Promotion cannot be used in conjunction with other promotional offers or discounts, coupons or membership offers.
  11. Reward cannot be transferred and exchanged for cash, credit limit as well as other goods or services.
  12. All pictures and prices are for reference only. The prices are designated by the relevant Merchant and are subject to change from time to time without prior notice.
  13. Eligibility of any transaction for the purpose of the Promotion shall be determined based on its transaction date and time in the Bank’s record. If there is any discrepancy between the Bank’s record and Cardholders’ transaction slip, the Bank’s record and determination shall be final and conclusive.
  14. The validity of any registration and/or Reward eligibility of Cardholders will be determined by the Bank at its sole discretion. In the event of discrepancy or inconsistency of registration record between Cardholders and the Bank, the decision of the Bank shall be final and binding.
  15. Reward is only applicable to Cardholders whose Applicable Credit Card accounts are in good standing, remain valid and not in default (as determined by the Bank at its sole discretion) during the Promotion Period until the Reward has been credited. If the account status has changed, the Bank reserves the right to terminate the Reward for the Cardholder. The Bank shall have the sole discretion in determining a Cardholder’s eligibility to the Reward.
  16. Cardholders must retain the original transaction slips of any transactions. In case of any disputes, the Bank reserves the right to require Cardholders to submit the relevant original transaction slips, other documents or evidence for verification. The submitted transaction slips, documents and/or evidence will not be returned. If there is any discrepancy between the Bank’s record and Cardholder’s record of any transaction, the Bank’s record shall prevail.
  17. Participation in the Promotion is subject to there being no abuse/non compliance by the Cardholder, failing which the Bank will debit the values of the Discount or Reward from the Cardholder’s account without notice and/or take such action to recover any outstanding amounts.
  18. The Bank does not accept any liability in relation to the quality of products and services provided by the Merchant, any complaints in relation thereto should be made to the relevant merchants directly.
  19. A person who is not a party to these Terms and Conditions may not enforce any of their terms under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Ordinance (Cap 623 of the Laws of Hong Kong).
  20. The Bank and Merchants may change these terms and conditions and/or modify or terminate the Promotion. The Bank’s and Merchants’ decision are final.
