1. The DBS Eminent Card Welcome Offer (“Welcome Offer”) is only available to applicants who have successfully applied to become the principal cardholder of DBS Eminent Card (including DBS Eminent Visa Signature Card and DBS Eminent Visa Platinum Card) issued by DBS Bank (Hong Kong) Limited (the “Bank”) (“New Card”) by submitting the DBS Eminent Card Application Form (including DBS Eminent Visa Signature Card and DBS Eminent Visa Platinum Card) (“Application Form”) to the Bank during the period from 1 October 2018 to 6 January 2019 (“Offer Period”) and all supporting documents required by the Bank within one month from the date of application.
  2. Unless otherwise specified, the Welcome Offer is applicable to both “New Customers” and “Existing Customers” (collectively, the “Customers”). “New Customers” shall mean applicants who, during the New Card approval process have not applied for, do not currently hold, or in the 12 months prior to the date of application for the New Card, have not held and/or cancelled any principal credit cards (including co-branded cards and/or DBS COMPASS VISA credit cards) issued by the Bank. “Existing Customers" shall mean applicants who are not New Customers.
  3. Under the Welcome Offer, Customers are entitled to choose any one applicable welcome gift (“Welcome Gift”) set out below:

  4. Customer shall indicate his/her choice of the Welcome Gift on the Application Form. If Customer has not indicated his/her choice or indicated more than one choice in the Application Form, Customer will automatically be assigned “HK$400 foodpanda “InstaRedeem” Amount” (for New Customer) or “10% Cash Rebate (Up to HK$200 Cash Rebate)” (for Existing Customer) as his/her Welcome Gift. Once such choice has been made or assigned, it cannot be changed.
  5. Each Customer can enjoy the Welcome Offer once during the Offer Period. For the avoidance of doubt, if Customer has successfully applied for more than one New Card with the Bank by submitting multiple Application Forms to the Bank, he/she will only be entitled to redeem ONE Welcome Gift in respect of all applications submitted during the Offer Period.
  6. Customer must download DBS Omni, register and activate DBS Omni account within 2 months of the New Card issuance date in order to be eligible to the Welcome Gift. Existing Customers who have already downloaded DBS Omni mobile application, registered and activated DBS Omni account, they can simply conduct Eligible Spending with the New Card to enjoy the Cash Rebate.
  7. The relevant Welcome Gift will be credited or sent to eligible Customers as follows:
    1. “HK$400 “InstaRedeem” Amount”
      1. The Welcome Gift will be awarded to the eligible New Customers via the red “InstaRedeem” button of DBS Omni upon spending with the New Card at (a) foodpanda (for Customers selecting HK$400 foodpanda “InstaRedeem” Amount);or (b) KLOOK (for Customers selecting HK$400 KLOOK “InstaRedeem” Amount); or (c) Hong Kong outlets of PARKnSHOP, FUSION, TASTE, INTERNATIONAL by PARKnSHOP, FOOD LE PARC, GOURMET, GREAT FOOD HALL, SU-PA-DE-PA (supermarket only), EXPRESS, PARKnSHOP Frozen Food Store or TASTY STREET, www.parknshop.com or www.greatFoodHall.com (for Customers selecting HK$400 PARKnSHOP “InstaRedeem” Amount) and when the spending is displayed on Timeline of DBS Omni.
      2. In order to receive push notification, eligible New Customers must participate in DBS$ Redemption Scheme and enable the “InstaRedeem” push notification of DBS Omni.
      3. HK$400 “InstaRedeem” amount will be pushed automatically to the eligible New Customer in 7 sequential orders after the eligible New Customer has completed a transaction with amount in excess of the “InstaRedeem” amount to be pushed. The eligible New Customer can use the “InstaRedeem” amount received to set off the amount payable for the transaction via the “InstaRedeem” function of DBS Omni. The order of pushing HK$400 “InstaRedeem” amount is: first time HK$100 and subsequent 6 times HK$50. If the eligible New Customer has not completed transactions in sequential order to enjoy the “InstaRedeem” amount within 6 months after the New Card was issued, he/she will be deemed to have forfeited the Welcome Gift or part(s) thereof. The Bank will not make any special arrangements and any forms of compensation. For avoidance of doubt, please refer to the below example:

        Assume the New Card of the New Customer was issued on 1 December 2018. The New Customer downloaded DBS Omni, registered and activated DBS Omni account on 16 January 2019. The New Customer chose “HK$400 PARKnSHOP “InstaRedeem” Amount” as Welcome Gift, and spent with the New Card at PARKnSHOP on the following dates. The table below shows the amount of Welcome Gift awarded to the New Customer under this case:

      4. HK$400 “InstaRedeem” amount cannot be used in conjunction with other “InstaRedeem” promotion offers offered by the Bank and the merchants mentioned in clause 7.1.1 above. Eligible New Customer can only enjoy other “InstaRedeem” promotion offers when he/she has completely enjoyed the Welcome Gift or when the Welcome Gift has been revoked.
    2. “10% cash rebate”
      1. Customers will be entitled to 10% cash rebate ("Cash Rebate") on the posted retail transaction (“Eligible Spending”, as defined in clause 7 below) conducted with the New Card within 2 months from the New Card issuance date (“Spending Period”). The maximum Cash Rebate offered to New Customers and Existing Customers under this Welcome Offer is HK$700 and HK$200 respectively.
      2. Cash Rebate will be rounded up to the nearest integer. Cash Rebate will be credited to the New Card account of Customers within 3 months after the end of the Spending Period and will be shown on the monthly statement.
      3. Cash Rebate is not applicable to applicants who, during the New Card approval process, have applied for or held any principal DBS Eminent Visa Signature Card and/ or DBS Eminent Visa Platinum Card (formerly named as DBS Visa Platinum Card, DBS Visa Gold Card or DBS Visa Classic Card).
      4. For the purpose of cash rebate, “Eligible Spending” refers to any posted retail transactions, including Octopus Automatic Add-Value Service. For a purchase under Card Interest-free Instalment Loan, only posted monthly instalments in the New Card account shall be counted. For the avoidance of doubt, the following types of transaction shall not fall under the scope of Eligible Spending: fund purchases, cash advances and relevant handling/administration fees, casino chips, foreign exchange, finance charges, reversed transactions, late charges, credit card annual fee, Call-a-loan, Balance Transfer, Funds Transfer, Fee Based Instalment, transactions in Hong Kong Dollars at the point of sales (In case of online transactions, the place of registration and/or settlement of the merchant) outside Hong Kong, reload of e-wallets (including but not limited to PayMe, WeChat Pay and Alipay), insurance payment, tax payment, any bill payment transactions made through DBS iBanking, JET Payment Service, 24-hour Customer Services Hotline or any other means as specified by the Bank from time to time, transactions that have been subject to cancellation, charge-back, return of goods and/or refund or any other types of transactions specified by the Bank from time to time.
      5. Fulfillment of the Cash Rebate shall be calculated based on Eligible Spending conducted with each New Card successfully applied during the Offer Period. If Customer has successfully applied for more than one New Card, Eligible Spending transactions conducted with different New Cards cannot be combined for the purpose of calculating fulfillment of the Spending Requirement. The amount of any Eligible Spending transactions conducted through any supplementary card under the New Card will be aggregated with that of the principal card of the New Card for the purpose of calculating fulfillment of the Cash Rebate.
  8. Welcome Gift is only available to Customers whose New Card accounts are determined in the sole discretion of the Bank to be in good standing, remain valid and not in default during the period from New Card issuance date to issuance of the Welcome Gift. The Bank shall have the sole discretion in determining a Customer’s entitlement to the Welcome Gift.
  9. Customers must keep the original receipt of each eligible spending transaction. In case of disputes about the entitlement of Welcome Gift, the Bank reserves the right to require the Customer to present the original receipt of the eligible spending transactions for verification. If there is any discrepancy between the Bank’s record and Customer’s receipt, the Bank’s record and determination shall be final and conclusive.
  10. A person who is not a party to these terms and conditions may not enforce any of their terms under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Ordinance (Cap 623 of the Laws of Hong Kong).
  11. Entitlement to Welcome Offer is subject to there being no abuse/non compliance by the Customer, failing which the Bank will debit the value of the Welcome Offer from the Customer’s account without notice and/or take such action to recover any outstanding amounts.
  12. The Bank may change these terms and conditions and/or modify or terminate the Welcome Offer. The Bank’s decision is final.
  13. The English version shall prevail if there is any inconsistency between the English and Chinese versions.
