Welcome Offer Terms and Conditions:

 

  1. The welcome offer is only available to applicants who have successfully applied to be the principal Cardholder (“Cardholder”) of DBS Black World Mastercard® ("New Card") to be issued by DBS Bank (Hong Kong) Limited ("Bank") by submitting DBS Black World Mastercard Application Form ("Application Form") to the Bank on or before 31 December 2017 ("Offer Ending Date") and all supporting documents required by the Bank within one month from the date of application.
  2. Welcome offer is applicable to both New Customer and Existing Customer:
    1. New Customer shall mean applicants who, during the New Card approval process have not applied for or held, and in the 12 months prior to the date of application for the New Card have not held and/or cancelled any principal credit card (including Co-branded Cards and COMPASS Credit Card) issued by the Bank ("New Customer").
    2. Existing Customer shall mean applicants who, during the New Card approval process have applied for or held, or in the 12 months prior to the date of application for the New Card have cancelled any principal credit card (including Co-branded Cards and COMPASS Credit Card) issued by the Bank ("Existing Customer").
  3. New Customer shall indicate his/her choice of any ONE of the following Welcome Gifts on the Application Form: “Up to DBS$4,200 Rewards” or “Up to 78,000 miles” (collectively referred to as "Welcome Offer"). Once such choice has been made, it cannot be changed.
  4. Existing Customer shall indicate his/her choice of any ONE of the following Welcome Gifts on the Application Form: “Up to DBS$104 Rewards” or “Up to 3,000 miles” (collectively referred to as "Welcome Offer"). Once such choice has been made, it cannot be changed.
  5. If Cardholder has not indicated his/her choice or indicated more than one choice under the welcome offer in the Application Form, his/her will automatically be assigned “Up to DBS$4,200 Rewards” (New Customer) or “Up to 3,000 miles” (Existing Customer) as his/her Welcome Offer.
  6. If New Customer or Existing Customer has successfully applied for more than one New Card with the Bank by submitting multiple Application Forms to the Bank, he/she will only be entitled to Extra Reward (“Extra Reward”, as stated in Clause 17, 21 and 22 in below) once in respect of all applications submitted before the Offer Ending Date.
  7. Cardholder must choose to participate in the DBS$ Redemption Scheme to be entitled to Welcome Offer.
  8. For the purpose of this Welcome Offer,
    1. “Local Spending” refers to the posted retail transactions settled in Hong Kong Dollars and Macau Pataca conducted at the point of sales (in case of online transactions, the place of registration and/or settlement of the merchant) in Hong Kong and Macau. For the avoidance of doubt, the following types of transactions shall not be considered as Local Spending: Card Interest-free Instalment Loan, non-Hong Kong Currency transactions, cash advances and relevant handling/administration fees, application fee/handling fee and add value of Octopus Automatic Add-Value Service, casino chips, foreign exchange, finance charges, reversed transactions, late charges, credit card annual fee, Call-a-loan, Balance Transfer, Funds Transfer, Fee Based Instalment, transactions in Hong Kong Dollars at the point of sales (In case of online transactions, the place of registration and/or settlement of the merchant) outside Hong Kong, insurance payment, tax payment, Reload of e-Wallets (e.g. PayMe and WeChat Pay), any bill payment transactions made via DBS iBanking/JET Payment Service of JETCO/24-hour Customer Services Hotline or any other means as specified by the Bank from time to time, transactions that have been subject to cancellation, charge-back, return of goods and/or refund or any other types of transactions specified by the Bank from time to time.
    2. “Overseas Spending” means any posted retail transactions settled in foreign currencies, excluding Macau Pataca conducted at the point of sales (in case of online transactions, the place of registration and/or settlement of the merchant) outside Hong Kong. Retail transaction settled in Macau Pataca shall be counted as Local Spending for this Program. Transactions settled in Hong Kong Dollars conducted at the point of sales (in case of online transactions, the place of registration and/or settlement of the merchant) outside Hong Kong (“DCC Transaction”) shall not be counted as Overseas Spending under this Program.
  9. The calculations of Basic Reward (the “Basic Reward”, as stated in Clause 17, 21 and 22 in below) and Extra Reward for related transaction amount are rounded down to their nearest integral, decimal places (if any) are not counted.
  10. The calculations of the relevant rewards shall be based on Local Spending and/ or Overseas Spending conducted with each New Card successfully applied before the Offer Ending Period. If you have successfully applied for more than one New Card, Local Spending and/ or Overseas Spending conducted with different New Cards cannot be combined for the purpose of calculating fulfillment of the relevant rewards. The amount of any Local Spending and/ or Overseas Spending conducted through any supplementary card under the New Card will be aggregated with that of the principal card account of the New Card.
  11. Welcome Offer/ Prize is not transferrable, and it cannot be exchanged for cash, credit limit or other prizes.
  12. Welcome Offer is only available to Cardholders whose credit card accounts are in good standing, remain valid and not in default during the Spending Period and when the Welcome Offer is issued.
  13. The Bank shall have the sole discretion in determining a Cardholder’s eligibility to enjoy this Welcome Offer, and reserves the right to disqualify any Cardholder from enjoying this Welcome Offer for any reasons.
  14. Entitlement to the Welcome Offer/ Prize is subject to there being no abuse/non-compliance by the Cardholder, failing which the Bank will debit the values of the relevant reward/ Prize from Cardholder’s account without notice and/or take such action to recover any outstanding amounts.
  15. The Bank may change these terms and conditions and/or modify or terminate the Welcome Offer. The Bank’s decision is final.
  16. The English version shall prevail if there is any inconsistency between the English and Chinese versions.

Regarding to “Up to DBS$4,200 Rewards” and “Up to DBS$104 Rewards”:

  1. Cardholders accumulate Local Spending of designated amount (“Target Spending Amount”, details in below table) within 2 months of the New Card issuance date ("Spending Period") is entitled to Welcome Offer of “Up to DBS$4,200 Rewards” (New Customer) or “Up to DBS$104 Rewards” (Existing Customer). Welcome Offer is composed of Basic Reward (the "Basic Reward", which is the DBS$ earned under DBS$ Redemption Scheme and is calculated in HK$250 = DBS$2) and Extra Reward (details per below table).

      Example: New Customers conduct HK$150,000 of Local Spending using the New Card within the Spending Period will be eligible to Basic Reward of DBS$1,200 (which is the DBS$ earned under DBS$ Redemption Scheme and is calculated in HK$250 = DBS$2) and Extra Reward of DBS$3,000, ie. Total reward will be DBS$4,200. The Local Spending after the aforesaid HK$150,000 is still eligible to earn Basic Reward.

      Example: Existing Customers conduct HK$3,000 of Local Spending using the New Card within the Spending Period will be eligible to Basic Reward of DBS$24 (which is the DBS$ earned under DBS$ Redemption Scheme and is calculated in HK$250 = DBS$2) and Extra Reward of DBS$80, ie. Total reward will be DBS$104. The Local Spending after the aforesaid HK3,000 is still eligible to earn Basic Reward.

      * Extra Reward of New Customer and Existing Customer is capped at DBS$3,000 and DBS$80 respectively.

  2. Basic Reward will be credited to New Card account automatically after the transaction(s) is posted and be shown in monthly statement. Extra Reward will be rewarded in the format of iGO Rewards promotional code (“Promotional Code”) within 3 months after Spending Period. Details of Promotional Code redemption with its terms and conditions will be stated in a redemption letter. Related redemption letter will be mailed to Cardholder’s registered address. Cardholder must redeem travel rewards with the Promotional Code via iGO Rewards website within the designated redemption period stated in the redemption letter.
  3. Cardholder’s Credit card account must have balance of at least DBS$100 or above to use the Promotional Code. A minimum of DBS$100 must be deducted from the credit card account and a booking administration fee of HK$50 is required for each booking at iGO Rewards.
  4. To enjoy the Welcome Offer, apart from this “Welcome Offer Terms and Conditions”, Cardholders are also subject to "DBS Credit Card iGO Rewards Terms and Conditions”. For details, please refer to go.dbs.com/hk-iGO-TnC.

Regarding to “Up to 78,000 Miles” and “Up to 3,000 Miles”:

  1. Within 2 months after the New Card is issued (“Spending Period”), Cardholders are entitled to related mile reward by DBS Omni Registration (applicable to New Customer) and the spending as stated in clause 22 below. The related mile reward will be granted in the format of DBS$ (based on current miles conversation rate i.e. DBS$48 = 1,000 miles) and credited in 2 phases to the New Card account of eligible Cardholder : i) DBS$ earned from Local Spending and/or Overseas Spending under DBS$ Redemption Scheme (the "Basic Reward", which is calculated in HK$250 = DBS$2 and/ or HK$250 = DBS$3 respectively) will be credited to New Card account automatically after the transaction(s) is posted and be shown in monthly statement; and ii) extra DBS$ earned from Local Spending and/or Overseas Spending (the "Extra Reward", as stated in clause 22 below) will be credited to the New Card account within 3 months after the end of Spending Period and be shown in monthly statement.
  2. Miles Rewards:
    1. Terms and Conditions for the reward of “Up to 78,000 Miles” that apply to New Customers:
      1. DBS Omni Registration: Cardholders successfully register with New Card to create and confirm a DBS Omni ID via webpage https://cards.dbs.com.hk or DBS Omni mobile application within 2 months of the New Card issuance date is eligible to a mile reward of 1,000 miles.
      2. Local Spending: eligible to a mile reward by using the conversion rate of HK$1 = 1 mile for the first HK$5,000 Local Spending, and eligible to further mile reward by using the conversion rate of HK$5 = 1 mile for the thereafter HK$200,000 Local Spending with New Card.
      3. Overseas Spending: eligible to a mile reward by using the conversion rate of HK$3 = 1 mile for the first HK$96,000 Overseas Spending with New Card:

        Example: New Customer successfully registers with New Card to create and confirm a DBS Omni ID within 2 months of the New Card issuance date will be eligible to a mile reward of 1,000 miles, plus conducts HK$205,000 of Local Spending and HK$96,000 of Overseas Spending using the New Card within the Spending Period will be eligible to further mile reward of 45,000 miles and 32,000 miles respectively. Therefore, total eligible mile reward will be 78,000 miles (equivalent to DBS$3,744, which includes the DBS$ earned under the DBS$ Redemption Scheme), which will be granted in the format of DBS$ (detail as stated in Clause 21 above).

    2. Terms and Conditions for the reward of “Up to 3,000 Miles” that apply to Existing Customers:
      1. Local Spending: eligible to a mile reward by using the conversion rate of HK$1 = 1 mile for the first HK$1,000 Local Spending, and eligible to further mile reward by using the conversion rate of HK$5 = 1 mile for the thereafter HK$5,000 Local Spending with New Card;
      2. Overseas Spending: eligible to a mile reward by using the conversion rate of HK$3 = 1 mile for the first HK$3,000 Overseas Spending with New Card:

        Example: Existing Customer conducts HK$6,000 of Local Spending and HK$3,000 of Overseas Spending using the New Card within the Spending Period will be eligible to a mile reward of 2,000 miles and 1,000 miles respectively. Therefore, total eligible mile reward will be 3,000 miles (equivalent to DBS$144, which includes the DBS$ earned under the DBS$ Redemption Scheme), which will be granted in the format of DBS$ (detail as stated in Clause 21 above).

Regarding to “iGO Flight Ticket Lucky Draw”:

  1. “iGO Flight Ticket Lucky Draw” (“Activity”) is only applicable to Cardholders who successfully submit the application of DBS Black World Mastercard via online from 23 October 2017 to 31 December 2017 and whose application is successfully approved on or before 31 January 2018. Each eligible Cardholder is entitled to participate the Activity ONCE only and can only be rewarded ONCE at most. Eligible Cardholder will participate in the Activity automatically without registration.
  2. This Activity will draw 101 of winners (the “Winners”) from eligible Cardholders randomly within 3 months after the Offer Ending Date. Winner announcement will be published at website go.dbs.com/hk-blackcard-mc. Details of the prizes (“Prizes”) are stated in below table, and the Prizes will be rewarded in the format of iGO Rewards promotional code (“Promotional Code”). Details of Promotional Code redemption with its terms and conditions will be stated in a prize redemption letter (“Redemption Letter”). Related Redemption Letter will be mailed to Cardholder’s registered address. Cardholder must redeem travel rewards with the Promotional Code via iGO Rewards website within the designated redemption period stated in the Redemption Letter.

    * Related Flight Ticket that can be redeemed at iGO Rewards is referring to the flight ticket that can be searched and redeemed at iGO Rewards using DBS Black World Mastercard with the DBS$ value of the Prize. Information of related flight ticket is provided as of 17 October 2017 and for reference only. Taxes and surcharges are not included. Due to price of flight ticket varies, if the DBS$ value of the rewarded Promotional Code cannot fully pay for the related flight ticket when winner making the booking, winner must pay extra DBS$ or cash for the price difference to complete the booking.

  3. Cardholder’s Credit card account must have balance of at least DBS$100 or above to use the Promotional Code. A minimum of DBS$100 must be deducted from the credit card account and a booking administration fee of HK$50 is required for each booking at iGO Rewards.
  4. Apart from this “Welcome Offer Terms and Conditions”, this Activity is also subjected to “DBS$ Rewards Scheme Terms and Conditions” and "DBS Credit Card iGO Rewards Terms and Conditions”. For details, please refer to go.dbs.com/hk-rewards-tnc and go.dbs.com/hk-iGO-TnC. Promotional Code can be used once only. All the balance of Promotional Code value (if any) will be forfeited immediately and cannot be extended nor redeemed to cash or other products/ service. Prize will be forfeited if winner fails to redeem travel rewards within the designated redemption period stated in the Redemption Letter and Prize will not be issued again.
  5. The decision of the Bank shall be final on the winner list, eligibility of Activity participation/ being rewarded and the Prize provided.

 

DBS Credit Card Application Terms and Conditions:

 

  1. By making an application to the Bank for the designated credit card (“Card”), you are deemed to have read and accepted these terms and conditions and shall be bound by them.
  2. Use of the Card shall be subject to the DBS Personal Credit Card Terms and Conditions and any terms and conditions applicable to the use of any related services (such as Internet Account, "Call-a-loan" Service and Balance Transfer) which you have applied or may apply to use. Copies of such terms and conditions are available on request from the 24-hour Customer Services Hotline at 2290 8888 or from the Bank’s website at www.dbs.com/hk or at any branches of the Bank.
  3. There is a minimum annual income requirement for application of a DBS Black Card of HK$240,000.
  4. You declare and warrant to the Bank that the information provided in the application for the Card and all the supporting documents are true, correct and complete. You hereby authorise the Bank to verify your information contained in the application and any supporting documents from any source that the Bank may deem appropriate. The information you have provided to the Bank in the application is required and will be used by the Bank to assess your application for the Card and provide ongoing services to you. Failure by you to provide any such required information to the Bank may result in your application for the Card to be rejected.
  5. You agree that the Bank’s Data Policy Notice in force from time to time together with any other notices and communications concerning your data issued by the Bank from time to time ("Data Policy") shall apply to all information related to you that you have provided to the Bank in the application for the Card or that the Bank has obtained from any other sources or that arises from your relationship with the Bank or any other DBS Group company ("Data"). You are deemed to have read and understood the Data Policy and you agree that the Data Policy shall form part of the DBS Personal Credit Card Terms and Conditions. Copies of the Data Policy are available on request from the 24-hour Customer Services Hotline at 2290 8888 or from the Bank’s website at www.dbs.com/hk or at any branches of the Bank. Your Data may be used for such purposes and disclosed to such persons (whether in or outside Hong Kong) in accordance with the Data Policy. You hereby agree, in particular, that the Bank may: (a) verify, provide and collect information about you from other organisations, institutions or other persons; (b) transfer the Data outside Hong Kong SAR including to Singapore; (c) compare your Data with any data the Bank has obtained and use the results for taking of any action including actions that may be adverse to your interests (including declining the application for the Card); and (d) provide your Data to credit reference agencies, or, in the event of default, to debt collection agencies.
  6. You understand that you have the right to: (a) request to be informed which items of Data are routinely disclosed to credit reference agencies or debt collection agencies; (b) request to be provided with further information to enable an access and/or correction request to be made to the relevant credit reference agency or debt collection agency; and (c) ask the Bank to request the relevant credit reference agencies to delete your consumer credit data upon termination of the credit card account if there is no payment default for a period in excess of 60 days on the account within 5 years immediately before the termination of the account. If there is any payment default, unless the amount in default is fully repaid or written off (other than due to a bankruptcy order) before the expiry of 60 days from the date such default occurred, you are liable to have your consumer credit data retained by the relevant credit reference agencies for a period of up to 5 years from the final settlement date of the default amount. In the event any amount in the credit card account is written off due to a bankruptcy order being made against you, you are liable to have your consumer credit data retained by the relevant credit reference agencies, regardless of whether there is payment default for a period in excess of 60 days on the account, for a period of up to 5 years from the final settlement date of the default amount or 5 years from the date of discharge of your bankruptcy as notified to the credit reference agency whichever is earlier.
  7. If you have previously submitted any documents to the Bank with respect to other banking services, you hereby consent to the Bank’s retrieval and use of such documents for the purpose of reviewing your application for the Card as the Bank sees fit.
  8. The annual fee chargeable for a DBS Black Card is HK2,000, while that for each supplementary card issued thereunder is HK1,000.

Highlights of DBS Personal Credit Card Terms and Conditions:

 

You must read the entire DBS Personal Credit Card Terms and Conditions carefully. Your attention is drawn to the following key terms and conditions.

  1. Immediately after you receive a Card, please review the DBS Personal Credit Card Terms and Conditions and if you accept it, please (i) complete the Card acknowledgment/activation procedure; and (ii) sign the back of the Card without delay.
  2. You must keep your Card securely and ensure that your PIN is not disclosed to any other person. You must take all reasonable steps to keep your Card safe and your PIN secret and to help prevent fraud.
  3. Should you discover that your Card or PIN is lost, stolen or used in an unauthorised way, you must notify us as soon as reasonably practicable upon discovery of the loss, theft or unauthorised use.
  4. Provided that you have not acted fraudulently or with gross negligence and you have not failed to inform us of the loss, theft or unauthorised use of your Card and/or the PIN, you shall not be liable for any unauthorised transactions (except cash advances). If you have acted fraudulently or with gross negligence, then you shall be liable for all unauthorised transactions.
  5. You shall be liable for all transactions effected or authorised through the use of the Card. If there is a Supplementary Card, you are jointly and severally liable with the Supplementary Cardholder for such part of the outstanding balance in connection with the Supplementary Card. The Supplementary Cardholder is liable, jointly and severally with you, only for such part of the outstanding balance as relates to the use of his/her Supplementary Card.
  6. On or before the payment due date in each month, you must pay us the statement balance in full or at least pay the minimum payment as specified in any monthly statement in accordance with the Fee Schedule or any other notice. If you fail to pay the minimum payment on the payment due date as specified in any monthly statement, then your Card Account will be regarded as in a delinquent status and a late fee and a finance charge will be charged.
  7. You agree to examine each Card Account statement received from us and to notify us of any alleged error or omission within 60 days after such statement was provided. After such 60-day period, such statement shall be deemed accepted and conclusively settled and no claim to the contrary by you shall be admissible.
  8. We may (where the circumstances are considered reasonable) at any time suspend, withdraw, cancel or terminate your right to use the Card, Card Account and/or any related services offered. You may terminate your Card and Card Account at any time by giving us notice. Upon the termination of your Card and Card Account, all outstanding debit balances shall become immediately due and payable.
  9. We shall be entitled at any time and without notice to you, to combine or consolidate any credit balance on any of your accounts maintained with us (whether matured or not) with the settlement of any debit balance on your Card Account and to set off any such credit balance against any such debit balance.
  10. If you report an unauthorised transaction to us before the payment due date, you may withhold payment of the disputed amount during the investigation period.
  11. We may, at our discretion, appoint debt collection agents and/or lawyers for collection of any moneys owing by you to us or for enforcement of any of our rights against you hereunder. You shall indemnify us on demand in respect of all collection costs and expenses that we reasonably incur. The total collection costs to be recovered shall in normal circumstances not exceed 30% of the amount owing by you to us.
