"DBS COMPASS VISA X SINOPEC SINO X Power Discount of Up to HK$10.5/Litre” Promotion Terms and Conditions

  1. “DBS COMPASS VISA X SINOPEC SINO X Power Discount of Up to HK$10.5/Litre" Promotion ("Promotion") is applicable to the cardholders (“Cardholder” or “Cardholders”) of DBS COMPASS VISA (“Applicable Credit Cards”) issued by DBS Bank (Hong Kong) Limited (the “Bank”).
  2. The promotion period is from 5th September, 2023 to 4th December, 2023, both dates inclusive (“Promotion Period”).
  3. Cardholders who purchase SINO X Power at petrol stations (“Petrol Station”) under Sinopec (Hong Kong) Petrol Filling Station Company Limited (“Merchant”) and fully settle the payment with the Applicable Credit Cards (physical card only) every Mondays to Fridays during the Promotion Period ("Eligible Transaction") can enjoy the below fuel discount of up to HK$10.5/Litre:
    1. An instant discount of HK$10.3/Litre by using the exclusive DBS COMPASS VISA Electronic Coupon from the SINOPEC PLUS APP ("SINOPEC PLUS APP") (“e-Coupon”) (“Offer 1”); and
    2. SINOPEC PLUS APP point – the rewarded point value is equivalent to the additional discount of HK$0.2/Litre (“Offer 2”).

    (Offer 1 and Offer 2 are collectively referred as “Offers”.)
  4. To enjoy the Offers, Cardholders are required to install the SINOPEC PLUS APP and are successfully registered as a SINOPEC PLUS APP member (“SINOPEC PLUS APP member”) before making the Eligible Transaction. Cardholders should present the e-Coupon to the staff at the Petrol Station and confirm to use the Offers with the Merchant before refueling.
  5. At the beginning of the Promotion Period, each Cardholder will receive the e-Coupon via SINOPEC PLUS APP and a new e-Coupon will be generated on the following Tuesday after use. If a Cardholder is newly registered as a SINOPEC PLUS APP member, an e-Coupon will be generated instantly upon the successful registration; The e-Coupon will be valid until 23:59:59 (Hong Kong time) on the 4th December, 2023. Each Cardholder’s SINOPEC PLUS APP account will have only one e-Coupon at the same time.
  6. SINOPEC PLUS APP point value under Offer 2 is calculated based on the list price of SINO X Power as of 15th August 2023 and the instant discount of HK$10.3/Litre under Offer 1. Each SINOPEC PLUS APP member can earn 45 SINOPEC PLUS APP points upon every HK$100 spending of SINO X Power. The SINOPEC PLUS APP point value is calculated based on the redemption of every 6,500 SINOPEC PLUS APP points for HK$200 worth of fuel cash coupon.
  7. Offers are not applicable to Chai Wan, Discovery Bay, Airsides Stations and LPG Stations.
  8. For the avoidance of doubt, the following types of transactions shall not be considered as Eligible Transactions:
    1. Any transactions that are subject to cancellation, charge-back, unposted transactions and/or refund;
    2. Any payments via eWallet (including but not limited to Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, WeChat Pay);
    3. Any other type of transaction as determined by the Bank from time to time.
  9. Unless otherwise specified, the Offers cannot be used in conjunction with any other Merchant’s promotional offers, discounts, coupons, cash coupons, SINOPEC Card, SINOPEC Discount Card or walk-in discounts. The Offers cannot be exchanged for cash or other denominations.
  10. Cardholders must retain the original transaction slips of any transactions. In case of any disputes, the Bank reserves the right to require Cardholders to submit the relevant original transaction slips, other documents or evidence for verification. The submitted transaction slips, documents and/or evidence will not be returned. If there is any discrepancy between the Bank’s record and the Cardholder’s record of any transaction, the Bank’s record shall prevail.
  11. Participation in the Promotion is subject to there being no abuse or non-compliance by the Cardholder, failing which the Bank will debit the values of the Offers from the Cardholder’s account without notice and/or take such action to recover any outstanding amounts.
  12. SINO X Power is available while stocks last. The Bank is not the supplier of the products/services or the description, photos or reference prices (if any) in relation to the products/services published in this webpage (which are intended to be for reference only). Any enquiry, claim or complaint in relation to the quality or availability of the products/services or the accuracy of any of the aforementioned information contained in this webpage shall be directed to the Merchant. The Bank shall assume no liability in respect thereof.
  13. The Bank will not accept any liability for any loss incurred by Cardholders should the Merchant refuses to provide the Offers.
  14. Besides these terms and conditions, the Offers are subject to specific terms and conditions applicable to it. Please check with Merchant for details.
  15. he Bank and the Merchant may change these terms and conditions and/or modify or terminate the Offers. The Bank’s and the Merchant’s decisions are final.
  16. The English version shall prevail if there is any inconsistency between the English and Chinese versions.
