DBS Credit Card Existing Customer Welcome Offer Terms and Conditions

  1. DBS Credit Card Existing Customer Welcome Offer (“Welcome Offer”) is only available to the principal cardholders (“Existing Customer ”) of DBS Credit Cards and Co-branded Cards (excluding DBS Black American Express® Card , Private Label Cards and Business Cards) issued by DBS Bank (Hong Kong) Limited (the “Bank”) who have successfully applied to become the principal cardholder of DBS Black American Express Card (“New Card”) issued by the Bank by submitting the DBS Black American Express Card Application Form (“Application Form”) to the Bank during the period from 1 October 2020 to 31 October 2020 (“Offer Period”) and all supporting documents required by the Bank within one month from the date of application.
  2. Under the Welcome Offer, the eligible Existing Customers will be entitled to Up to $200 “InstaRedeem” Amount (““InstaRedeem” Amount”) on the posted retail transaction (“Eligible Spending”, as defined in clause 6 below) upon accumulated amount of HK$1,800 or above (“Spending Requirement”) conducted with the New Card within 3 months from the New Card issuance date (“Spending Period”).
  3. Each Existing Customer can enjoy the Welcome Offer once during the Offer Period. For the avoidance of doubt, if Existing Customer has successfully applied for more than one New Card with the Bank by submitting multiple Application Forms to the Bank, he/she will only be entitled to redeem ONE set of Up to $200 “InstaRedeem” Amount in respect of all applications submitted during the Offer Period.
  4. Existing Customer must download DBS Omni mobile application (“DBS Omni”), register and activate DBS Omni account within 1 month of the New Card issuance date in order to be eligible to the “InstaRedeem” Amount. For the Existing Customer who has already registered and activated DBS Omni, there is no need to register again.
  5. The “InstaRedeem” Amount will be sent to eligible Existing Customers as follows:
  6. 5.1. The “InstaRedeem” Amount will be awarded to the eligible Existing Customers via the red “InstaRedeem” button of DBS Omni upon completing Eligible Spending with the New Card and when the Eligible Spending is displayed on Timeline of DBS Omni. Reloads of e-Wallets (Included but not limited to PayMe, WeChat Pay and Alipay) and retail transactions paid through e-Wallets will not be considered as spending for pushing of the red “InstaRedeem” button.
    5.2. In order to receive push notification, eligible Existing Customers must enable the “InstaRedeem” push notification of DBS Omni.
    5.3. “InstaRedeem” Amount will be sub-divided into 4 times (HK$50 each time) and pushed automatically to the eligible Existing Customer once per calendar month after the eligible Existing Customer has completed Eligible Spending with amount of HK$50 or above. The eligible Existing Customer can use the “InstaRedeem” Amount received to set off the amount payable for that transaction via the “InstaRedeem” function of DBS Omni. If the eligible Existing Customer has not completed transactions to enjoy the entire “InstaRedeem” Amount within 4 months after the New Card was issued, he/she will be deemed to have forfeited the related “InstaRedeem” Amount. The Bank will not make any special arrangements and any forms of compensation. For avoidance of doubt, please refer to the below example:
    Assume the New Card of the Existing Customer was issued on 4 October 2020. The Existing Customer downloaded DBS Omni, registered and activated DBS Omni account on 16 October 2020. The Existing Customer spent with the New Card on the following dates. The table below shows the “InstaRedeem” Amount awarded to the Existing Customer under this case:

    5.4. The “InstaRedeem” amount as a Welcome Offer cannot be enjoyed in conjunction with other “InstaRedeem” promotion offers offered by the Bank and the merchants. If Existing Customer’s Eligible Spending meets the requirements of more than one "InstaRedeem" promotion at the same time for receiving rewards, the Bank may determine the order of issuing "InstaRedeem" rewards; when the Eligible Spending has already been rewarded in one of the "InstaRedeem" promotions, the Eligible Spending cannot be rewarded again from other "InstaRedeem" promotions. In case of any disputes, the Bank reserves the right of final decision.

    5.5. If Existing Customer is successfully issued the “InstaRedeem” amount, but is not able to meet the Spending Requirement within the Spending Period, the Bank will debit the issued “InstaRedeem” amount directly from Existing Customer’s New Card account after the end of the Spending Period without prior notice.

  7. For the purpose of the Welcome Offer, “Eligible Spending” refers to any posted retail transactions. For the avoidance of doubt, the following types of transactions shall not be considered as Eligible Spending: cash advances and relevant handling/administration fees, application fee/handling fee and add value of Octopus Automatic Add-Value Service, casino chips, foreign exchange, finance charges, reversed transactions, late charges, credit card annual fee, “Call-a-loan”, “Balance Transfer”, “Funds Transfer”, “Fee Based Instalment Programme”, “Flexi-Shopping Programme”, transactions in Hong Kong Dollars at the point of sales (in case of online transactions, the place of registration and/or settlement of the merchant) outside Hong Kong (DCC Transaction), insurance payment, tax payment, reload of e-Wallets (including but not limited to PayMe, WeChat Pay and Alipay), any bill payment transactions made via DBS iBanking/JET Payment Service of JETCO/24-hour Customer Services Hotline or any other means as specified by the Bank from time to time, transactions that have been subject to cancellation, charge-back, return of goods and/or refund or any other types of transactions specified by the Bank from time to time. For Spending being settled with a Card Interest-free Instalment Loan, only posted monthly instalments will be counted.
  8. “InstaRedeem” Amount is only available to Existing Customers whose New Card accounts are determined in the sole discretion of the Bank to be in good standing, remain valid and not in default during the period from New Card issuance date to issuance of the “InstaRedeem” Amount. The Bank shall have the sole discretion in determining an Existing Customer’s entitlement to the “InstaRedeem” Amount.
  9. Existing Customers must keep the original receipt/transaction record of each Eligible Spending transaction. In case of disputes about the entitlement of “InstaRedeem” Amount, the Bank reserves the right to require the Existing Customer to present the original receipt/transaction record of the Eligible Spending transactions for verification. If there is any discrepancy between the Bank’s record and Existing Customer’s receipt, the Bank’s record and determination shall be final and conclusive.
  10. Entitlement to the “InstaRedeem” Amount is subject to there being no abuse/non compliance by the Existing Customer, failing which the Bank will debit the value of the “InstaRedeem” Amount from the Existing Customer’s account without notice and/or take such action to recover any outstanding amounts.
  11. The Bank may change these terms and conditions and/or modify or terminate the Welcome Offer. The Bank’s decision is final.
  12. The English version shall prevail if there is any inconsistency between the English and Chinese versions.
