“DBS Black American Express® Card Online Spending Bonus Offer” Promotion Terms and Conditions

  1. “DBS Black American Express Card Online Spending Bonus Offer” Promotion (“Promotion”) is only applicable to the principal cardholders (“Cardholders”) of DBS Black American Express Card (“Applicable Credit Card”) issued by DBS Bank (Hong Kong) Limited (the “Bank”), and who have chosen “DBS$ Redemption Scheme” as their DBS$ Reward Scheme.
  2. The Promotion is valid from 4 May to 31 July 2020 (both dates inclusive) (“Promotion Period”).
  3. Cardholder must accumulate at least HK$1,000 of online spending (“Online Spending”, as defined in clause 4 below) during the Promotion Period to be eligible to enjoy the miles conversion rate at HK$3=1mile for Online Spending (“Offer”). That is, on top of the basic reward of earning DBS$3 for every HK$250 spending, Cardholder may earn extra DBS$3 for every HK$250 Online Spending (“Extra Reward”), and the Offer is only applicable to the first HK$15,000 of Online Spending conducted by Cardholder during the Promotion Period.     + At least HK$1,000 of Online Spending must be accumulated to entitle this Offer.
    * The amount of Online Spending is capped at HK$15,000. When exceeding the cap, the maximum Extra Reward is DBS$180.

  4. Online Spending refers to the posted retail spending transactions conducted via an online channel. In case of any disputes, the definition of Online Spending will be determined by the Bank at its sole discretion. For the avoidance of doubt, the following types of transactions shall not be regarded as Online Spending: online insurance payment, online tax payment, reload of e-Wallets (including but not limited to PayMe, WeChat Pay and Alipay), any bill payment transactions made via DBS iBanking, cash advances and relevant handling/administration fees, casino chips, foreign exchange, reversed transactions, transactions that have been subject to cancellation, charge-back, return of goods and/or refund or any other types of transactions specified by the Bank from time to time.
  5. The amount of any Online Spending conducted through any supplementary card under the Applicable Credit Card will be aggregated with that of the principal card account.
  6. Basic Reward will be credited in the form of DBS$ to the Applicable Credit Card account automatically after the transaction(s) is posted and be shown in monthly statement. The Extra Reward of this Promotion will be credited in the form of DBS$ to the Applicable Credit Card account within 3 months after the Promotion Period and be shown in monthly statement.
  7. The calculations of Extra Rewards for related transaction amount are rounded down to their nearest integral, decimal places (if any) are not counted.
  8. Extra Reward is only available to Cardholders whose credit card accounts are in good standing, remain valid and not in default during the Promotion Period and when the Extra Reward is issued.
  9. Extra Reward cannot be transferred or used to settle the minimum payment, exchanged for cash, spending credit or other discounts / products / services.
  10. Eligibility of any transactions for the purpose of this Promotion shall be determined based on the transaction date and time in the Bank’s record. If there is any discrepancy between the Bank’s record and Cardholder’s record of any transaction, the Bank’s record shall prevail. All Online Spending, based on transaction date, must be conducted during the Promotion Period.
  11. Entitlement of the Promotion is subject to there being no abuse/non compliance by the Cardholders, failing which the Bank will debit the value of the Extra Reward from Cardholder’s account without notice and/or take such action to recover any outstanding amounts.
  12. The Bank may change these terms and conditions and / or modify or terminate the Promotion. The Bank’s decision is final.
  13. The English version shall prevail if there is any inconsistency between the English and Chinese versions.
