Transfer money to overseas bank account

You can transfer money to overseas bank account through DBS iBanking.

(If you haven’t registered DBS iBanking, please click here to see how to register.)

  1. Login to DBS iBanking
  2. Select “Transfer” at the top menu
  3. Select “To Overseas Account”
  4. Select “Recipient” from the drop down list. If you haven’t add recipient, please click “Add New Recipient” in the drop down list and follow the steps to add new recipient.
  5. Input “Transfer Currency and Amount”
  6. Select the “Correspondent Bank Charges”
  7. Input the “Payment Details for Recipient” and “Promotion Code” if any
  8. Read and confirm the “Conditions of Remittance”
  9. Click “Next” and follow the steps to transfer money to overseas back account

Note:

  • Your daily limit for third party transfer to Non-Registered Account is HKD 2,500 
  • From now till 30 September 2016, customer can enjoy Unlimited HKD0 charges for all online transfer to any recipient banks in Mainland China or UK, and DBS Bank in Singapore
  • Handling Charge and Correspondent Bank Charges for transferring HKD/SGD to DBS Singapore will be waived at the time of transaction. Cable Charge will however be debited from customer's account at the time of transaction but will be rebated into the account afterward

China

  1. Login to DBS iBanking
  2. Select “Transfer” at the top menu
  3. Select “Via DBS China Remit”
  4. Select “Recipient” from the drop down list. If you haven’t add recipient, please click “Add New Recipient” in the drop down list and follow the steps to add new recipient.
  5. Select transfer “From Account”
  6. Input “Transfer Currency and Amount” (you can transfer RMB directly if you have already opened  multi-currency  RMB/RMB account)
  7. Input “Promotion Code” if any
  8. Read and confirm the “Conditions of Remittance”
  9. Click “Next” and follow the steps to transfer money to overseas back account

UK

  1. Login to DBS iBanking
  2. Select “Transfer” at the top menu
  3. Select “Via DBS UK/Singapore(DBS account) Remit”
  4. Select “Recipient” from the drop down list. If you haven’t add recipient, please click “Add New Recipient” in the drop down list and follow the steps to add new recipient.
  5. Select transfer “From Account”
  6. Input “Transfer Currency and Amount”
  7. Input “Payment Details for Recipient” and “Promotion Code” if any
  8. Read and confirm the “Conditions of Remittance”
  9. Click “Next” and follow the steps to transfer money to overseas back account

Singapore (DBS account)

  • Your daily limit for overseas funds transfer is HKD 2,500.00 (combined limit of all overseas funds transfer, including DBS Remit)
  • If you want to transfer RMB to China, the receiving account should has the same account name as the transfer account
  • This service is free of charge till 30 September 2016
