DBS Black World MasterCard "Member-Get-Member Referral Program” Terms and Conditions:

 

  1. DBS Black World MasterCard "Member-Get-Member Referral Program" ("Promotion") runs from 1 November 2016 to 30 April 2017 (both days inclusive) ("Promotion Period").
  2. To be eligible to participate in the Promotion as referrer (the "Referrer"), he/she must be a principal cardholder of DBS Credit Card or DBS Co-branded Cards (excluding PAY LESS Visa Card, COMPASS Credit Card, Business Card and Private Label Card) ("Applicable Credit Card") issued by DBS Bank (Hong Kong) Limited (the "Bank", which expression shall include its successors and assigns) ("Cardholder").
  3. The Referrer is eligible for the referral reward under the Promotion ("Referral Reward", as stated in clause 7 below) if ALL of the following conditions are fulfilled:
    1. The Referrer completes the following registration within the Promotion Period with his/her Applicable Credit Card successfully via webpage https://cards.dbs.com.hk or DBS Omni mobile application: i) register DBS Omni membership (for those Selected Cardholders who are already with DBS Omni membership may skip step i) and go to step ii) directly), and ii) register for the Promotion, to enable his/her Applicable Credit Card account to be eligible for this Promotion. The Referrer will be given a registration reference number ("Reference Number") and unique referral application link for the particular Applicable Credit Card ("Referral Application Link") upon successful registration; and
    2. The Referrer refers a person ("Referee") through facebook or whatsapp to successfully apply for DBS Black World MasterCard ("New Card") via the Referral Application Link during the Promotion Period and the Referee activates the New Card within one month from the date of card approval ("Successful Referral").
  4. Each Applicable Credit Card account can only be registered once during Promotion Period.
  5. The Referrer must ensure that the Referee welcomes this Promotion before sharing with him/her the Promotion’s information. The Bank is not the sender of the information to any referee, and will not assume any responsibility thereon.
  6. Credit card approval is confidential information, the Bank cannot disclose the approval status of Referee.
  7. The Referee is eligible for the Referral Reward under the Promotion ("Referral Reward", as stated in clause 7 below) if ALL of the following conditions are fulfilled:
    1. The Referee submits application via the unique Referral Application Link during Promotion Period, and successfully applies to be the principal cardholder of the New Card by submitting all supporting documents required by the Bank within 7 days from the date of application; and
    2. The Referee activates the New Card within one month from the date of card approval.
  8. Referral Reward
    1. For every Successful Referral made during the Promotion Period, a Referrer and a Referee shall each be entitled to Referral Reward, the amount of which shall be determined as follows:
      1. If the Referee is a New Customer (as defined below), the Referral Reward for a Referrer and a Referee shall be DBS$60 each for every Successful Referral made during the Promotion Period in this Promotion. "New Customer" shall mean applicants who, during the New Card approval process have not applied for or held, and in the 12 months prior to the date of application for the New Card have not held and/or cancelled any principal credit card (including Co-branded Cards and COMPASS Credit Card) issued by the Bank.
      2. If the Referee is an Existing Customer, the Referral Reward for a Referrer and a Referee shall be DBS$30 each for every Successful Referral made during the Promotion Period in this Promotion. "Existing Customer" shall mean applicants who, during the New Card approval process have applied for or held, or in the 12 months prior to the date of application for the New Card have cancelled any principal credit card (including Co-branded Cards and COMPASS Credit Card) issued by the Bank.
    2. Referral Reward will be credited to the Applicable Credit Card account of the Referrer and the New Card account of the Referee within 3 months after the activation of the New Card by the Referee and shown in respective monthly statement.
    3. Referrer and Referee must choose to participate in the DBS$ Redemption Scheme in order to get the Referral Reward.
    4. Referral Reward is only available to Referrer and Referee whose credit card accounts are in good standing, remain valid and not in default during the Promotion Period and when the Referral Reward is issued. The Bank shall have the sole discretion in determining Referrer’s and Referee’s eligibility to enjoy Referral Reward.
  9. Referrer and Referee cannot be the same person.
  10. If a Referee is referred to the Bank by more than one Referrers and the Referee successfully opens a New Card account, only the first submission of Referee’s application (as determined in accordance with the Bank’s records) and the relevant Referrer will be eligible for the Referral Reward.

  12. The Facebook accounts, whatsapp contact numbers of friends provided by Referrer for participating to this Promotion is solely for the purpose of sharing the promotion information. The related Facebook accounts, whatsapp contact numbers will not be transferred to the Bank for other purposes
  13. Any fraud and/or abuse of the Promotion by a Referrer or Referee (as determined by the Bank at its sole discretion) will result in forfeiture of the Referrer and Referee’s eligibility to participate in the Promotion and/or cancellation of all or part of the Referrer and Referee’s account(s) with the Bank. The Bank reserves the right to deduct the equivalent value of any offer and/or reward awarded inappropriately to a Referrer or a Referee directly from the Referrer’s or the Referee’s bank account(s) with the Bank without prior notice and/or take legal action in such instances to recover any outstanding amounts.
  14. The Bank reserves the right to vary these terms and conditions and/or to change or terminate the Promotion at any time. In the event of any dispute, decision of the Bank shall be final and binding.
  15. Should there be any discrepancy or inconsistency between the English version and the Chinese version of these terms and conditions, the English version shall prevail.
