New arrangement for sending SMS

At DBS, we are committed to providing you with safe and secured banking services.

With the development of SMS forwarding service provided by telecommunication service providers, the banking sector believes it is important to introduce tightened security measures in order to mitigate the risk of fraudsters forwarding those SMS messages originated from banks to other mobile phone numbers.

Accordingly, with effect from 30 October 2011, even if you have subscribed for the SMS forwarding service, your telecommunication service provider in Hong Kong will only send our SMSs (including messages containing One Time Passwords, alerts messages from our alert services or marketing messages) to the mobile phone number that you have registered on our record and such SMSs will not be forwarded to any other mobile phone number.
