In general, customers who set up a time deposit online will enjoy a preferential time deposit interest rate. The preferential time deposit interest rate shall be determined with reference to the total relationship balance or the time deposit amount (whichever is higher), the type of account held by the customer and the preferential interest rate prevalent on the day the time deposit is set up. Please contact our staff for the applicable time deposit interest rate.
For example, Mr Chan has a DBS Wealth Account with total relationship balance of HK$80,000. If he sets up a 2-month time deposit on 26 July 2010, he can enjoy 3.0% time deposit preferential interest rate, which is 0.5% higher than the rate of 2.5% which he would get if he sets up a time deposit at any branch. |
