Section 4: How can I log on to DBS iBanking?

Q1

How can I logon to DBS iBanking?

A1
You can log on to DBS iBanking through our DBS website at http://www.dbs.com/hk by simply clicking on "Log on to iBanking" at the top left-hand corner of the webpage.

The logon system of DBS iBanking is based on a unique username that cannot be duplicated by any other users on the system, a password tied to that username and a One Time Password (OTP) that is sent instantly to your mobile phone. The username and password combination is unique to each user. Our system requires an alphanumeric username (8 to 12 characters) and a password consisting of 8 characters with a minimum of 3 letters and 3 numbers (e.g. "skla1739", "pzazz789" or "31415xyz"). This makes it exponentially more difficult for anyone to guess the combination.  Additionally, a OTP will be issued to your registered mobile phone number as an additional authentication measure when logging on to DBS iBanking.

Q2

Do I need to log on to DBS iBanking using the system-generated username and password within a certain period of time?

A2

If you register for DBS iBanking through our branches, you will need to log on to iBanking within 90 days after the application using the system-generated username and password, otherwise the system-generated username and password will expire after the said 90 days.

Q3

Can I change the system-generated iBanking username and password at DBS iBanking?

A3

Yes, upon your first logon to DBS iBanking, you will be prompted to change your username and password. This is a mandatory process for every new DBS iBanking user.

You are strongly recommended to change your password regularly to help protect the security of your account. You can change your password online by using the "Change Password" function under the "Customer Service" section.

Q4

What should I do if I have forgotten my DBS iBanking username or password?

A4

If you have forgotten your DBS iBanking username or password, please download and submit the DBS iBanking Service Request Form to DBS Bank.
